Hearing a word the first time, what most of us do! Google obviously. Ever thought about this, how google finds out the meaning of something when it hears anything the first time. It does exactly as our brain does. It relates it to other things that have the closest meaning.

Google is the best example of artificial intelligence shown by machines, unlike the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals.

Hunger, deforestation, climate change are some of the most common dilemmas of the recent world. A.I. has been introduced to reduce deforestation. NotCo. is a biotechnology company based in San Francisco, California, which is working to reduce climate change because of eating meat. Cows and other animals emit methane that is 35 to 40 percent of global methane emissions. Their waste is also resulting in environmental pollution. The world’s 1.5 billion cows and billions of other grazing animals emit dozens of polluting gases, including lots of methane. Two-thirds of all ammonia comes from cows. This company is not working to alter animal protein with plant-based protein. The CEO and Co-founder of the company, Matias Muchnick think plant-based food is the new and better way to make food. They are using an artificially intelligent robot named ‘Giuseppe’. Using this A.I. they make food that looks, smells, functions, and tastes better than animal-based. Karim Pichara is Co-Founder and CTO of NotCo. According to him, Giuseppe is created to have a technology that can tell us how to reproduce animal-based food just by using plants.

Who does not love hamburger! But study saying, eating one burger has about the same environmental impact as driving a gas car for ten miles. That’s shocking, right!

Isn’t it kind of interesting if you have a glass of milk which is produced from plants! But how this A.I. does this! There is a relation between the molecular structure of food and how it creates a perception of food. This algorithm can detect the relation by using a huge database in its memory. The main intention is to create a prototype of the molecular formation of animal-based protein. Giuseppe looks at the structure of the molecule and finds the basic ingredients of it. And from its database using several closest formations, it recombines the main structure. The other parts are done by lab scientists.

Currently, NotCo is producing mayonnaise, ice-cream, milk under the name of NOT MAYO, NOT ICE CREAM, NOT MILK.

According to NotCo, it is possible to take care of the planet without having to negotiate on the taste people want.
